Is upgrading Arch after a year easy?

After I did not use my old workstation for more than a year I was wondering if an upgrade would work without any major disruptions. Some details: It is a self-built workstation with a relatively basic Archlinux on it.

Long story short: It was not a big thing. A quick lookup on archlinux.org what manual steps might be necessary whith any of the installed packages, pacman -Syu, checking for new /changed config files and one reboot. Done.

I was surprised but it worked without any issue and due to this fact I wanted to share this experience with you.
